Lyssen — Rapper, Poet, Philosopher & Author
Lyssen is a Chicago and California–raised rapper, poet, philosopher, author, and host of The Future of History. Through music, poetry, storytelling, and conversation, she explores identity, self-discovery, motherhood, purpose, and the experiences that shape who we become.
Her philosophy begins with a simple truth: Who I am today is a result of all my yesterdays. But our yesterdays don’t have to dictate our tomorrows.
From her music and poetry to The Future of History, SELF-ish, and Switch Fear to Focus, Lyssen turns lived experience into art, perspective, and honest conversations about becoming who you choose to be next.

COME ALONG FOR THE JOURNEY.
Life is about finding balance without losing the parts of you that make you feel alive.
Lyssen believes in growth through experience exposure—seeing more, trying more, learning more, and allowing life to expand the way we see ourselves and what’s possible.
Through music, poetry, conversation and everyday life, she shares the lessons, laughter, roadblocks and possibilities she discovers along the way.
Sometimes we need to step outside of our situation long enough to see it differently. Sometimes we need to laugh at ourselves. And sometimes we just need to jump back into life and GET IT DONE.
At the heart of it all is family, community and a simple belief:
NO SOUL LEFT BEHIND.
Because every life matters. Every experience leaves something behind. And every one of us plays a role in what comes next.
WE ARE ALL PART OF THE FUTURE OF HISTORY.
Live. Create. Grow. Lyssen. 💫
